Drive through expansive open savanah woodlands and remnant monsoonal rainforest enjoying the golden hues of the rising sun spreading across the Adelaide River floodplain. Mist rising above the landscape sheltering the last frontier. This is the begining of your wildlife odessy in the Top End. Perfect for photographers, nature lovers and those who want to get away.
Greet the outback sunrise as you are picked up from your hotel around 0600 am and relax in the comfort.
As the warm golden rays highlight the red tones of the landscape, you’ll head south on your way to Fogg Dam Conservation Area.
Here you will learn some of the bush foods and medicine plants of the Top End in the presence of nature at its finest.
Wander along the lilly boardwalk or take advantage of the lookout points as the Top End fauna puts on the show. With over 230 different species of birds recorded here you are bound to find a favourite.
Plenty of time for photos or relax and watch the wild antics as you sip on a lovely cup of tea whilst enjoying our steaming homemade ham and cheese breakfast croisants.
Having set the scene we then move on to Corroboree Billabong on the wild Mary River. Here we enjoy a 1.5 hour cruise as we view nature in its natural state.
Snakes, crocodiles, Jabirus and more are regular features on this cruise so come prepared.
Having answered the call of the wild we then regroup at the Corroboree Tavern for some outback lunch of freah homem ade sandwiches before making our way back to Darwin.
Getting back into the City around 2 pm.
