  We climb out of the valley floor on horseback, and up to the ridgeline
  that reveals some of the Victorian High Country’s most spectacular
  scenery. Hone your horse riding skills with trotting and cantering
  along deserted tracks before we wind our way down to the luxury river house
  at acclaimed Howqua Dale. Enjoy private ensuited accommodation fine local food and
  wine, pre-dinner nibbles on the terrace overlooking the valley and river.
  The next day we follow bridle tracks, visiting historical points of interest
  and hearing colourful stories of local characters. We explore many broad
  flats and marvel at the remoteness and beauty of this country. Just be
  prepared to get wet at the river crossings!
  We visit famous downhill scenes from the ‘Man from Snowy River’,
  and realise how awe-inspiring the bravery and skills of the riders were
  in this movie. Up here the 360 degree views are spectacular – we can
  see the country we’ve covered on one side and the vast open plains on
  the other. We finish our ride at our historic stables, enjoying famous
  country hospitality at our farmhouse.
