This all day, 14.5-hour tour departs at 8:00 am from the Perth Crown Hotel and Casino Complex every Tuesday, with complimentary pick-up from selected CBD accommodation available on request.

Heading south from Perth via Mandurah, we break at Donnybrook which is regarded as the ‘Apple Town’ of Western Australia because of its apples and stone fruit orchards. If time permits, we can stop here to purchase some of the local produce and a little something for morning tea.

After leaving Donnybrook, you can kick back and relax while touring through some charming countryside of rolling farmlands in Blackwood River Valley, passing through the pretty, historical pioneer towns of Bridgetown and Balingup. Moving further south, you’ll now enter into Western Australia’s old growth forest area. Stopping at Diamond Tree – one of the three towering trees in the district used as a bushfire watchtower –see the metal spikes to the wooden watch-cabin viewing platform, way up in the canopy. While at Diamond Tree, you'll have a well-deserved break and feast on a sumptuous picnic lunch.

Following lunch, you continue on through stunning sections of Karri forest (Eucalyptus diversicolor- the world’s third tallest growing tree), before reaching the Valley of the Giants to experience the amazing Tree Top Walk. Consisting of a 400 metre long elevated walkway, it trails through the canopy to a gradual height of 40 metres high, with views that will leave nature lovers and bird watchers racing for their cameras. The surrounding forest consists of a mix of Karri, Jarrah and Tingle Trees - all species of eucalypts. Not too keen on heights? Take a walk on ground level to the Ancient Empire – an extraordinary pocket of Tingle Forest. The path leads visitors to the gnarled veterans, wide-girthed 400-year-old goblin-like trees with a base diameter of 5 metres. Themed on the lost era of Gondwana, immerse yourself in Mother Nature and explore the grandeur, intrigue, fantasy and science of this ancient forest. After a relaxed, leisurely walk, it's time to take a look around the discovery centre and perhaps enjoy a snack for afternoon tea (own expense).

Next, you'll head to William Bay, along the remarkable coastline, passing through some of the most spectacular farming country Western Australia has to offer. Through the old-world seaside town of Denmark before heading inland, you’ll travel via Mt Barker and Kojonup where you’ll stopover for tea (own expense) at The Kodja Place Visitors Centre. This modern-day tourist complex combines Rural Heritage and Indigenous Culture, showcasing the ingenuity and spirit of the Australian bush peoples. Returning to Perth at approximately 10:30 pm, you’ll be dropped back at your original pickup point.
