This is a fabulous way to get to Kuranda, the "village in the rainforest". You travel just above the rainforest and are able to see the spectacular vegetation below. Travel up and back on the Skyrail cableway. The return trip takes 2.5 hours so be sure to add on free time to explore Kuranda and the two Skyrail mid-stations.

The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway experience spans 7.5kms over Australia’s pristine tropical rainforests.
You’ll glide just metres above the rainforest canopy before descending through the canopy layers and deep into the heart of the forest at Skyrail’s two rainforest mid-stations for the ultimate tropical rainforest experience. We recommend you allow 2.5 hours for a Return Skyrail Experience without free time in Kuranda.

Tour details are:
Depart from Skyrail’s Smithfield Terminal [either 9.00AM or 11:00AM]
Return from Skyrail's Kuranda Terminal [either 12:00PM and 3:00PM respectively] arriving back at Skyrail's Smithfield Terminal [approx 3.30pm and 4.45pm respectively]

    Diamond View Gondola Skyrail Upgrade: You may like to upgrade your Skyrail journey to a Diamond View Gondola.

    • Take in the spectacular tropical rainforest from the unique viewing perspective of Skyrail’s glass floor Diamond View Gondolas.
    • There are 11 Diamond View gondolas that each carry a maximum of 5 passengers, and will depart stations approximately every 7 minutes. Passengers travelling on them will enjoy dedicated boarding queues at all terminals and stations. Allow an additional 30mins for your Diamond View journey in each direction.

     

    Skyrail's gift shops are located at Smithfield and Kuranda Terminals, and stock a wide range of souvenirs, gifts, books, clothing and other merchandise.

    Free parking available at Skyrail's Smithfield terminal, with adequate space for motorhomes and caravans.

    Daypacks and fold-up baby strollers can been taken on the cableway.
    Luggage is not able to be carried on the cableway.
    Consider downloading the Skyrail App from the AppStore or Google Play to augment your Skyrail experience.

    Child Fares 4-14 years.

    Infants under 4 years are Free of Charge, however please include them in your booking request to ensure a boarding pass is issued.

    Children must be accompanied by an adult while travelling on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.
